Starfish and Sand Dollar

Happy (Belated) Fourth of July! Hope your holiday was filled with lots of sand, hotdogs and Italian ices!

I got a chance to use my new sand dollar, starfish and sentiment stamps ($1 each in the Michael's clearance bin, YEAH bay-baaay!). I made a set of two very simple cards and gave the starfish one to my friend Angela.
I stamped the images with white pigment ink, and embossed them.
Angela confided in me yesterday that she just received an offer at a antitrust law firm... in Brussels! And she is accepting the offer! She has never even set foot in Europe before, but she is taking the plunge and moving. I will be so sad to "lose" a friend, but I am so happy for her! And envious. Very, very envious.

"What If" is one of the most intriguing questions. What if I made a drastic change in my life? What if I pleaded insanity and took a year's leave from work to travel and photograph the length of the Trans-Siberian Railway? What if I joined a law firm in Grand Cayman and opened up a flip flop shop on the side? What if I did something similar to Angela and packed up for the likes of Hong Kong? Paris? Prague? Shanghai?

I admire Angela's bravery. There is an old Tibetan saying: "Life runs out while we are preparing to live." I have a life-changing idea that I've been pondering for years. Overthinker that I am, perhaps the solution is simply to go dig out Ole Courage, give it a good dusting off and just go for it.
