Butterfly Birthday

In going through my card photos, I realized that I got so caught up in telling you about the embossed chandelier tags I made for Roochita's birthday that I completely forgot to show you her actual card! Better late than never, right?
This card was made entirely out of paper punches. The only things I used were a lace border punch, a butterfly punch and a square-shaped punch. I quite like the colors, which goes to show that if I actually try to visualize color combinations - which does not come naturally to me - I can avoid color disasters such as, uhh, the below:

For every five successes, there is, on average, one spectacular failure.
