Hippity Hop

For once I am posting on the day of, instead of months after the fact!

I sent this Easter card I made with a huge bunny rubber stamp (the stamp is the size of my entire hand) to dear family friends, my Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Burke. Aunt Marilyn and I write each other actual letters on actual paper and post it through the actual mail not infrequently. We agree that it is so nice to receive something to hold in one's hand; we revel in our old fashioned-ness. Our writings are not terribly dramatic; we just update each other on the various goings-on in our lives. Even if it is only once every few months, it keeps us in touch. And since she lets me know that she really likes my handmade cards, I especially enjoy making something fun for her each holiday.

It was a gorgeous day out today; a sunny and occasionally breezy sixty-something degrees - perfect conditions for Easter bunnies everywhere to do what they do. Even though my family is not religious, we always participated in the festivities growing up; I have fond memories of many an egg hunt.

Happy Easter, everyone!
