This is what a dedicated paper-crafter does during a break (OKAY, OKAY... a procrastination bout) at work during the holiday season: She sketches Christmas card ideas!
Unfortunately, I've been so busy with holiday parties and spontaneous get-togethers with friends (the holidays bring out the nostalgia in everyone - everyone wants to catch up!), I only had time to shop for and wrap presents. I feel awful, but I didn't have time to actually make cards to accompany a big batch of gifts that I'm giving this week.
Oh well, it's okay - It would have been dumb to sacrifice a few parties to hole up at home making cards for friends who I would've gotten to actually see and spend time with had I gone to the parties! That being said, however, I AM planning on spending at least part of the upcoming jam-packed weekend to make some cards so that the folks I see next week at least will have non-evil Hallmark cards. Will be fun to see how close the finished products come to the sketches!
Here's a random picture of some gifts about to be deployed... and that ain't even half of it! I put a ton of thought into the presents and tried to personalize them with the recipients' hobbies/interests/skills. I am very grateful that I have so many people who I care about and want to make happy!
Ahh, the holidays... how I love 'em!!
