Elephant Power

I knew my dad would find the elephant punchout cute, so I made a card with a whole bunch of them for Adam to give to him on his birthday a week ago.

Indeed, my dad wrote an email to us after he received the cards and especially mentioned how he likes the elephants holding hands... I mean, trunks.

I really like how, even though the elephant punchout is so neutral, I can make the card any style I want just by changing up the colors. For instance, the above card looks slightly Indian to me. (I wish I had thought of giving each elephant a sparkly jeweled headdress!)

But the below card, something I made for a former college of mine when she had a baby recently (on Christmas Eve!), using the same exact punch, looks so baby appropriate!

I'll do a post about all the different designs I can make with the whale punch next!
